No costumes, no double identity. He lives like a superhero, and he is a superhero. He doesn’t hide because he simply can’t. It’s useless. He only needs to be better than the others. But he is brutal. Again and again. The adamantium is a gift for some, while it may be a curse for Wolverine. Who knows.
What I love about Wolverine is this straightforwardness – I am what I am. And whoever doesn’t like it can go to hell. A cigar, a motorbike, and macho gestures. And also honor, sacrifice for others, responsibility. No easy life, even though he’s in fact (almost) immortal. It’s fascinating to observe brands like Wolverine. Not many like him there, to be honest. They are what they look like. Excellent. Invincible. Brutal. And he even provokes the rest of the world to have a chance to beat him. To destroy, to take over the free place on the throne of the invincible. My brand certainly can’t do this, no way; it doesn’t even want to. What about yours? Do you think you have your adamantium (oh god, how many times I’ve heard “nobody else can do this, it’s excellent”)? Well, let the world know, finally! Don’t beat around the bush. If you think you are a hero, just don’t play a hero. Be one.
