I’ve been wandering the world of advertising, marketing, and brands since I was sixteen. It was then when somebody paid for my work for the first time – for my first logo. When I was seventeen I regularly went to work after classes and made some decent extra money as a graphical artist. And that quickly turned into work for almost ten agencies, hundreds of clients, hundreds of presentations, and thousands of projects.
All in all, I’ve been active in this line of work for around twenty years. Twenty years of experience in a single line of work will certainly push you further.
And it definitely did push me. With each experience I needed more and more space for my solutions because I was no longer strong enough to bend my opinion and perspective to make them fit the expectations of the others. And thus, after a lot of years, I left corporate structures to appoint my clients, as well as my recently acquired students and fans, as my bosses.
During all those years I’ve put together dozens of theories, schools, and tools (to all those of you – I so respect your work, thank you for inspiration and influence, but this is not meant against you!) and created my own approach, and I’ve been testing it like a peddler on thousands of people to see if they understand it and find it useful. And one day I decided to write it all down neatly arranged for your benefit. It wouldn’t be me, though, if I wrote it down properly; since childhood I’ve been doing things differently without even knowing what makes me do it. It’s the way it works, though. So don’t expect texts full of aphorisms, clever schemes, someone else’s quotations, or incontestable truths.
Welcome if you want to play. I will introduce my brand to you (my alter ego), you will introduce your brand to me, and we will keep getting familiar with each other in general. I will try to do it conscientiously, sometimes amusingly, sometimes cheerfully. But always consistently and responsibly because the fact that I can help so many people is a huge obligation. If at least a fraction of them finds inspiration, motivation, or even a solution in my approach, I’ll be satisfied. They can then follow me in numerous courses and lectures and work by themselves with my workbooks or develop their brands thanks to simple mobile applications. I’m working on them.
