I love comic books. Not that I’m any expert on them, but I like them. And what is it that brands have in common with them? Well, everything. And nothing.
Maybe you’ve heard about brand archetypes – the popular branding tool by Carol Pearson? If not, I’ll deal with them in more detail some other time. Either way, one of the most amazing archetypes is a character, a hero. And yes, we are close now – a comic book superhero. With my clients we often invent and search for our own archetypes, our own structures of inherited social and cultural structures. And, finally, one day I found a whole structure in comic book superheroes. You think they are all the same? Saving the world, wearing funny raincoats. Oh, no way! See for yourself; maybe you’ll find some inspiration in my superheroes not only for business but also for life.
Well, did you like it? Enjoy it? Will you watch some of these movies? Will you read the comic books? Enjoy! And look for parallels with your business, style, and taste. Are you superheroes? I’m not. Do people around you consider you heroes? They consider me a hero, sometimes. But it doesn’t sit well with me. And all this helps me find my motivation in my hero archetype.
And one last piece of advice in conclusion – love your superheroes. They will help you in return. Mindless?
